]]> Agape Respite Care Awarded Grant Funding For Our Direct Service Workers

Public Notification Regarding Our HCBS Direct Service Workforce Investment Grant

FSSA is issuing Agape Respite Care funding to support our direct service workforce (DSPs Direct Support Professionals). We have plans in place with the granted amounts to assist us in demonstrating our appreciation of our DSPs in order to assist with their retainment for our guests served.

Agape Respite Care will dedicate 95% of the grant amount towards our direct service workforce. Our plans are set in place to assist in the financial burdens our staff experience with working away from their homes. We will do this by assisting with financial relief on travel expenses, vehicle maintenance, meals, group activities, group education opportunities and bonuses.

It is the goal of Agape Respite Care to utilize the funding as soon as possible in order to quickly assist relief for our DSPs. It is our plan to utilize all the funding by the end of December 2023.

No licensure or certifications required however, applicant must be 18 years and obtain a caring hear for others. Our typical DSP to guest ratio is 1:2 depending on guest needs and level of care. We are seeking caring individuals with seasoned hearts of serving others. We offer a  home away from home atmosphere for staff and for the guests we serve. Non-clinical atmosphere with opportunities to engage in community activities and activities at the respite house located in Berne.
