RESPITE CARE

Respite care is temporary care or “intermittent breaks” for the family or primary caregiver, who is caring for an individual with a physical and / or intellectual disability, a chronic or terminal health condition. Unlike many other programs Agape Respite Care is a life span program that provides care for infants through the senior adult years.

OUT OF HOME RESPITE

Respite care provides families and caregivers with relief from the ongoing demands of providing care for their loved one with special needs. At times family caregivers need to be away from their home and need a place for their family member with disabilities to stay in their absence. There are also times when the family caregiver needs to be at home but be relieved of their care responsibilities.

Out of home care at the Agape House may be the answer. Our respite house is an attractive, accessible home, specifically designed to accommodate the special care needs of children and adults with disabilities. Agape Respite Care’s staff is trained in providing personalized care to meet the personal care needs, health and safety needs as well as present activities for their personal interest and enjoyment.
